Warmer, Greener Living - retrofit programme

Cheaper bills, warmer homes - good for the planet

We want to make all Alliance Homes warmer with cheaper bills. We're aiming to do this by bringing all of our homes up to Energy Performance Certificate C by 2030. More than 80 percent of our homes already meet this level. To get the rest of our homes up to this level means installing some free retrofit upgrades for our customers.

We'll be contacting those customers whose homes we'll be upgrading and it will take a few years to get them all done. If you would like advice about keeping your home warm, you might want to speak to our Home Energy Advisors, they can tell you how to get the best from your current systems and how to save on energy bills.

If we have already contacted you about the Warmer, Greener Living initiative you can book your assessment by calling 03000 120120 or emailing the team at majorworks@alliancehomes.org.uk.

What is retrofit?

Some homes can 'leak' heat which means they either get cold or our customers have to turn the heating up. Lost heat means lost money and more carbon dioxide pollution. Retrofit is the solution, it means taking a existing homes and improving their energy efficiency by installing some free upgrades.

What free upgrades will I get?

We’ll assess your home and work out the which upgrades will save you the most money, these could include:

Solar Panels

Lightweight roof panels will generate free electricity for you to use, potentially saving you £100s each year.
