Moody's Awards Highest Rating to Alliance
Alliance Homes Group has once again received Moody’s highest rating for a housing association with a score of A1, following the agency’s annual review of the housing provider’s operating and financial performance.
Alliance Homes, which manages over 6,500 homes in the South West of England, is one of a select few housing associations in the country to receive the A1 rating. The report from Moody’s highlighted Alliance’s strong balance sheet with low debt levels as well as strong governance and management.
The Moody’s report stated that Alliance’s strengths rested in its strong interest cover ratios, low debt to revenues, simple debt profile, and its strong governance and management with a clear strategy. The rating also takes into account the forecasted increase in debt, which will allow Alliance to support new strategies and to increase its housing development programme in line with its corporate strategy.
Chief Executive, Louise Swain said: “This rating is a fantastic endorsement of the hard work we have put into creating sound financial management and a solid business plan. We are well placed to deliver our strategy over the coming years.”
